Alexie Glass-Kantor is Executive Director, Artspace, Sydney, supporting curatorial practice, exhibition making, publishing and residencies. She is Curator for the Encounters sector at Art Basel | Hong Kong (2015 to 2020), which premieres large-scale installations. As curator of over one hundred exhibitions, Glass-Kantor has worked with international artists across generations to develop collaborative projects in independent spaces, collecting institutions, biennials and festivals. She is Chair, Contemporary Art Organisations Australia (CAOA) and on the academic boards of the National Art School (Sydney) and Museum of Contemporary Art & Design (Philippines). In this talk for CAT she will discuss methodologies and approaches for curating in a global context, across multiple platforms, from an Australian specificity.

Alexie Glass-Kantor has been brought to Tasmania through the Shotgun 7 program. Shotgun is a partnership project between Detached Cultural Organisation, Mona and Contemporary Art Tasmania.
