NEW WORK, INDUSTRY ACCESS, CRITICAL ENGAGEMENT
Shotgun is a partnership project between Contemporary Art Tasmania and Detached set-up to address the needs of Tasmanian artists. The annual project captures artists at a stage when focused support can have significant impact on the development and trajectory of their professional practice. The 2013 Shotgun opportunity has been awarded to Mary Scott with work produced during the project on public display at Contemporary Art Tasmania 19 October – 24 November.
This year we have brought industry professionals Jackie Dunn, Jacqueline Millner, Damien Minton, Elvis Richardson, Fiona MacDonald, Ron & George Adams and Amanda Rowell to Tasmania to participate in a program of professional development with Mary Scott and the five non-exhibiting Shotgun artists – Josh Foley, Lisa Garland, Paul Gundry, Astrid Joyce and Peter Waller.
DON’T MISS: SHOTGUN OPENING FRIDAY 8 OCTOBER, 6PM
2014 Shotgun catalogue writers: Jackie Dunn and Jacqueline Millner.
