Exhibition continues: 25 July – 6 September 2020
About 400,000 leaves is a response to Covid-19, the ongoing global health crisis that we are currently facing in 2020 . Using autumn leaves – a motif of melancholy and a preparation of an end – this project explores the significance of the death toll numbers and community grief.
Abigail Giblin is a Tasmanian artist working predominantly with flowers to investigate how death is perceived and dealt with in contemporary western society.
The CAT Project Space is made available to CAT Studio Residents for new works, experimentation and works in progress.
