An INFLIGHT symposium presented as part of Project One and the Establishment series of projects.

Only the Lonely is a discussion event focusing on the many lives and deaths of artist-run operations. Within the symposium Inflight aims to address what it sees as a need for ARI’s to be continually building upon and strengthening the local arts community. Inflight and guest speakers will talk of their personal experiences in developing and maintaining art spaces and collectives in Tasmania and interstate. In addition to this there will be an open discussion addressing collaboration, partnerships and the endlessly diverse models for presenting and responding to art.

Inflight members will be joined by Gemma Weston (artist, writer and co-director of OK Gallery, WA); Jordan Marani (artist and co-founder of HELL Gallery, VIC); Sydney Guild (a Sydney based emerging curatorial and artistic collective, NSW); and Sean Kelly (a writer, curator and arts administrator at the Moonah Arts Centre, TAS).
