A solo exhibition by Tasmanian-based artist Neil Haddon, PITCH 041 presents a collection of new paintings and wall works. As well as works based around the grid, targets and stripes, PITCH 041 includes a number of recent works that take Australia’s obsession with home renovation as their subject.

Neil Haddon has developed a deserved reputation for his sophisticated, seductive paintings based on misuses of minimalism’s ‘look’ and grid system. Introducing evidence of the real world (decay, erosion and wear) into the idealised, controlled world of minimalism, Haddon opens up the elite high-art world of modernism and gently exposes the superficiality of its pristine surface.
