Building New Worlds with Rob Braslin, Gabbee Stolp and Andy Hutson

1 – 4pm, Saturday 9 November 2024

For ages 8-12 (parents/guardians welcome to participate). Free, all materials included.

Join artists Rob Braslin, Gabbee Stolp and Andy Hutson to write a short story and then create a small sculpture to illustrate your tale in this hands-on workshop.

Rob will lead you through some writing exercises to create a short written piece, then Gabbee and Andy will help you create a small sculpture that illustrates your story. This is a chance to explore new techniques, share ideas, and connect with others in safe and supportive environment.

Apologue Isle combines storytelling, puppetry and kinetic sculpture, with an increasing sense of urgency to address the fractured relationship between people and nature.

Apologue Isle is supported by the Australian Government through Creative Australia, its principal arts funding body, assisted through Arts Tasmania by the Minister for the Arts and supported by City of Clarence and City of Hobart
